Her father was a violinist, and her mother was a pianist, so it was only natural that Yuki would develop an interest in music at a young age. Yuki began playing the violin when she was just three years old, and by the time she was six, she had already won her first competition. She continued to study music throughout her childhood and teenage years, and in 2002, she moved to the United States to attend the Juilliard School in New York City. At Juilliard, Yuki studied under the tutelage of renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. She also had the opportunity to perform with the Juilliard Orchestra and the New York String Orchestra, which helped to further develop her skills as a musician. After graduating from Juilliard in 2006, Yuki began her professional career as a violinist. She quickly gained recognition for her talent and was invited to perform with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. One of Yuki's most notable performances was in 2010, when she performed the world premiere of John Adams' "Scheherazade.2" with the New York Philharmonic. The piece was written specifically for Yuki, and her performance was widely praised for its technical skill and emotional depth. In addition to her work as a soloist, Yuki is also a member of the acclaimed International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE). With ICE, she has performed at some of the world's most prestigious music festivals, including the Venice Biennale and the Lincoln Center Festival. Throughout her career, Yuki has received numerous awards and accolades for her work as a musician. In 2008, she was awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show great potential for a successful career in classical music.
