Nicole Corti is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of choral music. She was born in Switzerland in 1965 and grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a conductor, and her mother was a singer, which exposed her to music from a young age. Corti began her musical education at the Conservatory of Lausanne, where she studied piano, singing, and conducting. She later continued her studies at the Conservatory of Geneva, where she specialized in choral conducting. During her studies, she had the opportunity to work with renowned conductors such as Eric Ericson, Frieder Bernius, and Helmuth Rilling. In 2007, she was awarded the Prix Culturel Vaudois, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the cultural life of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. In 2014, she was awarded the Swiss Music Prize, the highest honor for musicians in Switzerland. In addition to her work as a conductor, Corti is also a professor of choral conducting at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne.
