Born on May 7, 1963, in the town of Krefeld, Germany, Vinke grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a church musician, and his mother was a singer. From a young age, Vinke showed a keen interest in music and began singing in his church choir. Vinke's musical education began at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf, where he studied voice under the tutelage of Professor Klesie Kelly-Moog. He later continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, where he received further training in opera and concert singing. Vinke's career as a professional singer began in 1990 when he made his debut as Tamino in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" at the Stadttheater in Koblenz. He quickly gained recognition for his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, and soon began performing in major opera houses and concert halls around the world. One of Vinke's most notable performances was his portrayal of Siegfried in Wagner's "Ring Cycle" at the Bayreuth Festival in 2008. His performance was widely praised for its intensity and emotional depth, and he received critical acclaim for his portrayal of the heroic character. Vinke has also performed in many other major operas, including Verdi's "Otello," Puccini's "Turandot," and Strauss's "Elektra."
