Niels-Ole Bo Johansen is a Danish classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a conductor, pianist, and composer. Born on August 22, 1956, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Johansen showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He went on to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he received his diploma in piano performance in 1981. Johansen's career as a conductor began in 1983 when he was appointed as the conductor of the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra in Denmark. He held this position until 1990 and during his tenure, he led the orchestra in numerous performances and recordings. In 1990, Johansen was appointed as the principal conductor of the Odense Symphony Orchestra, a position he held until 1996.
