Born on May 22, 1993, in Quebec City, Canada, Hebert-Bouchard showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. He was quickly recognized as a prodigious talent and began studying with renowned pianists and teachers in Canada and Europe. Hebert-Bouchard's musical education began at the Conservatoire de musique de Quebec, where he studied with Louise Bessette. He then went on to study at the Conservatoire de musique de Montreal with Marc Durand and at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater in Hannover, Germany, with Arie Vardi. He also received guidance from other notable pianists such as Leon Fleisher, Menahem Pressler, and Richard Goode. Hebert-Bouchard's talent was recognized early on, and he won numerous awards and competitions throughout his career. In 2010, he won the Canadian Music Competition and the Grand Prize at the OSM Standard Life Competition. He also won the first prize at the Concours de musique du Canada in 2011 and the Prix d'Europe in 2013, which is one of the most prestigious awards for young musicians in Canada. Hebert-Bouchard's career took off after he won the first prize at the 2015 Concours musical international de Montreal. This competition is one of the most prestigious in the world, and Hebert-Bouchard's victory was a significant achievement.
