Over the years, the Latvian Philharmonic Orchestra has been led by a number of distinguished conductors, including Vassily Sinaisky, Mariss Jansons, and Andris Nelsons. The orchestra has also collaborated with many renowned soloists, including violinist Gidon Kremer, pianist Martha Argerich, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. One of the highlights of the Latvian Philharmonic Orchestra's history was its performance at the 1988 Edinburgh International Festival.
