Lukas Maria Kuen is a classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a talented pianist and conductor. Born on May 22, 1988, in Innsbruck, Austria, Kuen showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He was raised in a musical family, with his father being a conductor and his mother a singer. Kuen's talent was quickly recognized, and he began performing in public at a young age. He won his first competition at the age of nine and went on to win numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 2003, he was awarded the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Ettlingen, Germany, and in 2005, he won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in San Marino. Kuen's musical education began at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he studied piano with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and conducting with Dennis Russell Davies. He later continued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where he studied with Paul Badura-Skoda and Johannes Wildner. Kuen's career as a pianist has taken him all over the world, and he has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls, including the Musikverein in Vienna, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. He has also performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. In addition to his career as a pianist, Kuen has also established himself as a conductor. He has conducted numerous orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also served as the principal conductor of the Innsbruck Symphony Orchestra since 2016. Kuen's repertoire is vast and includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Brahms. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Franz Liszt, and he has recorded several albums of Liszt's music.
