The University of Minnesota Brass Band is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with its exceptional performances for over three decades. The University of Minnesota Brass Band is made up of approximately 30 musicians, all of whom are either students or faculty members at the university. The band is comprised of brass and percussion instruments, including trumpets, trombones, tubas, and percussion. The ensemble is known for its exceptional musicianship, and its members are some of the most talented brass players in the country. Over the years, the University of Minnesota Brass Band has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world. The band has performed at the Midwest Clinic, the International Trumpet Guild Conference, and the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles Conference. The band has also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and at the Royal Albert Hall in London. One of the highlights of the University of Minnesota Brass Band's career was its performance at the 2006 World Music Contest in Kerkrade, Netherlands. The band competed against some of the best brass bands in the world, and it earned a silver medal in the championship division.
