Born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1985, Oh-Havenith showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of four. Her parents, both amateur musicians, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Oh-Havenith's early training was rigorous and demanding, but she thrived under the guidance of her teachers. She quickly developed a reputation as a prodigy, winning numerous competitions and awards throughout her childhood and teenage years. In 2007, Oh-Havenith moved to Europe to further her studies, enrolling in the prestigious Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany. There, she studied under the renowned pianist and pedagogue Pavel Gililov, who would become a major influence on her musical development. Under Gililov's tutelage, Oh-Havenith honed her technique and deepened her understanding of the classical repertoire. Since then, Oh-Havenith has gone on to perform with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. She has also collaborated with many of the most celebrated conductors of our time, including Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, and Gustavo Dudamel. One of Oh-Havenith's most memorable performances came in 2014, when she played Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam.
