She was born on December 22, 1987, in Bucharest, Romania, to a family of musicians. Her father was a violinist, and her mother was a pianist, so music was always a part of her life from a young age. Stirbat began playing the piano at the age of four and showed exceptional talent from the start. She studied at the George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest, where she received a solid foundation in music theory and performance. She then went on to study at the National University of Music in Bucharest, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance. During her studies, Stirbat participated in numerous competitions and festivals, winning several awards and prizes. In 2006, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition "Pro Piano" in Bucharest, and in 2008, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition "Citta di Barletta" in Italy. She also received the "George Enescu" Scholarship for Young Musicians in 2009, which allowed her to study with renowned pianist and pedagogue Lazar Berman in Italy. Stirbat's talent and hard work paid off when she was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world. In 2010, she made her debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York City, where she received a standing ovation for her performance of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1. She has also performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Moscow Conservatory, among others. Stirbat's repertoire is vast and includes works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and many others. She is known for her technical prowess and her ability to convey the emotional depth of the music she plays. Her performances are often described as passionate, intense, and deeply moving.
