Ensemble Nobiles is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2006 in Leipzig, Germany. The group consists of five male singers who specialize in a cappella music, performing a wide range of repertoire from the Renaissance to contemporary music. The founding members of Ensemble Nobiles are Felix Hübner (tenor), Lucas Heller (tenor), Philipp Schupelius (baritone), Stefan Schuck (baritone), and Paul Heller (bass). All five members studied at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre, where they formed the ensemble as part of their studies. Ensemble Nobiles quickly gained recognition for their exceptional vocal blend and musicality, winning several awards in their early years. In 2008, they won the first prize at the International A Cappella Competition in Leipzig, and in 2009, they were awarded the Audience Prize at the International Chamber Choir Competition in Marktoberdorf, Germany. Since then, Ensemble Nobiles has performed extensively throughout Europe and Asia, appearing at major festivals and concert halls. They have collaborated with renowned conductors and orchestras, including the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig and the MDR Symphony Orchestra. One of the highlights of Ensemble Nobiles' career was their performance at the 2012 World Choir Games in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they won two gold medals and a silver medal in various categories. They also received the highest score of any ensemble in the competition. Ensemble Nobiles has released several recordings, including their debut album "In the Beginning" in 2010, which features music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Their second album, "Reflections," was released in 2013 and includes works by contemporary composers such as Eric Whitacre and Ola Gjeilo. In addition to their performances and recordings, Ensemble Nobiles is also committed to music education and outreach. They regularly conduct workshops and masterclasses for young singers, and have worked with choirs in Germany, Japan, and the United States.
