The founding members of Ad Hoc String Quartet are violinists Anna Kostyuchek and Olga Yanovich, violist Oksana Kostyuchek, and cellist Yaroslav Kostyuchek. All four musicians are graduates of prestigious music schools in Ukraine and have extensive experience performing in various orchestras and ensembles. From the very beginning, Ad Hoc String Quartet set out to explore the vast repertoire of chamber music, from the classical works of Mozart and Beethoven to the contemporary compositions of Shostakovich and Schnittke. The quartet's dedication to their craft and their exceptional musicianship quickly earned them a reputation as one of the most exciting and innovative ensembles in the region. Over the years, Ad Hoc String Quartet has performed at numerous prestigious venues and festivals, both in Ukraine and abroad. Some of their most notable performances include appearances at the LvivMozArt Festival, the Kyiv Music Fest, and the International Chamber Music Festival in Poland. In addition to their live performances, Ad Hoc String Quartet has also released several critically acclaimed recordings. Their debut album, "From Mozart to Shostakovich," features a selection of works by some of the most celebrated composers in the chamber music repertoire. The quartet's second album, "Contemporary Voices," showcases their commitment to exploring new and innovative works by contemporary composers. Ad Hoc String Quartet has received numerous awards and accolades for their exceptional performances and recordings. In 2012, they were awarded the Grand Prix at the International Chamber Music Competition in Lviv, Ukraine. The quartet has also been recognized for their contributions to the development of chamber music in Ukraine, receiving the prestigious "For the Development of Chamber Music" award from the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture in 2015.
