Francesco Cilea Choir is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born on July 23, 1866, in Palmi, Italy, Cilea was the son of a pharmacist. From a young age, he showed a keen interest in music and began studying the piano and composition. He later went on to study at the Naples Conservatory, where he was taught by some of the most prominent musicians of the time. Cilea's early compositions were heavily influenced by the works of Verdi and Puccini, and he quickly gained a reputation as a talented composer. In 1897, he premiered his first opera, Gina, which was well-received by audiences and critics alike. This success led to a commission from the Teatro Lirico in Milan, where he composed his second opera, L'Arlesiana. L'Arlesiana premiered in 1897 and was an instant success. The opera's most famous aria, "E la solita storia del pastore," became a hit and is still performed today. The success of L'Arlesiana cemented Cilea's reputation as a rising star in the world of opera. In 1900, Cilea premiered his third opera, Adriana Lecouvreur, which is considered his masterpiece.
