Birth:1985 in SerbiaNemanja Radulovic is a Serbian violinist who has gained international recognition for his virtuosic performances and unique style. He was born on May 5, 1985, in Nis, Serbia, to a family of musicians. His father, Zoran Radulovic, is a renowned violinist and professor at the University of Arts in Belgrade, and his mother, Gordana, is a pianist. Nemanja began playing the violin at the age of four, under the guidance of his father. He showed exceptional talent and dedication from an early age, and by the time he was six, he was already performing in public. He continued his studies at the Music School in Nis, where he won numerous awards and competitions. In 1996, at the age of 11, Nemanja moved to Paris with his family to continue his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He studied under the renowned violinist and pedagogue Patrice Fontanarosa, and later under Boris Garlitsky. During his time in Paris, Nemanja won several awards and competitions, including the First Prize at the International Competition for Young Violinists in Lubljana, Slovenia, in 1998. Nemanja's breakthrough came in 2003, when he won the First Prize at the International Violin Competition in Indianapolis, USA. This prestigious competition is known for launching the careers of many successful violinists, and Nemanja's victory was a testament to his exceptional talent and hard work. He was only 18 years old at the time, and his performance of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in the final round was hailed as a triumph. Since then, Nemanja has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also collaborated with renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Yuri Temirkanov, and Vladimir Ashkenazy. Nemanja's repertoire is diverse and includes works by classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven, as well as contemporary composers such as Arvo Pärt and John Williams. He is known for his passionate and expressive playing, as well as his unique style, which combines elements of classical music with traditional Balkan music. One of Nemanja's most memorable performances was at the 2014 Proms in London, where he performed the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Orchestre National de France. His performance was met with a standing ovation and critical acclaim, with The Guardian describing it as "a performance of astonishing virtuosity and emotional depth." Nemanja has also released several albums, including "Journey East" in 2009, which features traditional Balkan music arranged for violin and orchestra, and "Carnets de Voyage" in 2015, which includes works by Paganini, Sarasate, and Ravel. His albums have received critical acclaim and have helped to bring his unique style of music to a wider audience. In addition to his performing career, Nemanja is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has given masterclasses at many prestigious institutions, including the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Juilliard School in New York. He is also the founder and artistic director of the Festival de Violon de l'Île de France, which aims to promote the violin and its repertoire through concerts, masterclasses, and workshops.More....
