Her father was a violinist, and her mother was a pianist. From a young age, Perry showed a keen interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Perry's talent was evident from the start, and she quickly became a prodigy. She began performing in public at the age of six and made her debut with the New York Philharmonic at the age of nine.
