Antonio Yang is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on May 12, 1985, in Seoul, South Korea, Yang showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. His parents recognized his talent and enrolled him in music lessons, where he quickly excelled. As a child, Yang participated in numerous music competitions and won several awards. His talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and he continued to hone his skills throughout his childhood and teenage years. In 2003, Yang graduated from high school and decided to pursue a career in music. Yang attended the Seoul National University of Arts, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and professor, Lee Kum-Sing. During his time at the university, Yang participated in several music competitions and won numerous awards, including the first prize at the 2005 Eumyeon Piano Competition and the 2006 Seoul National University of Arts Piano Competition. After completing his studies at the Seoul National University of Arts, Yang moved to the United States to further his education. He enrolled in the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the tutelage of Yoheved Kaplinsky. Yang's time at Juilliard was marked by numerous achievements, including winning the 2008 Gina Bachauer Piano Competition and the 2009 Concert Artists Guild International Competition. Yang's talent and dedication to music have earned him numerous accolades throughout his career. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians who have the potential for major careers in music. The grant provided Yang with the financial support he needed to continue his musical pursuits and further his career. Yang has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his performances, Yang is also a dedicated music educator. He has taught master classes at numerous universities and music schools, including the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, and the Seoul National University of Arts. Throughout his career, Yang has remained committed to promoting classical music and inspiring the next generation of musicians. His dedication to music and his exceptional talent have made him one of the most respected and admired classical music artists of his generation.
