The choir's journey began in Saarlouis, a small town in the state of Saarland, Germany. He started by recruiting a small group of singers and began rehearsing with them regularly. As the choir grew in size, so did their reputation. One of the highlights of Kantorei Saarlouis' career was their performance at the International Bach Festival in Leipzig in 1995.
