Vladimir Jampolsky was born on May 15, 1975, in Moscow, Russia. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Vladimir showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Vladimir's parents recognized his talent and enrolled him in the Central Music School in Moscow, where he received his formal training in piano. He was a prodigious student and quickly rose through the ranks, winning several competitions and awards. In 1993, Vladimir was accepted into the Moscow Conservatory, one of the most prestigious music schools in Russia. He studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Sergei Dorensky. During his time at the conservatory, Vladimir continued to excel, winning several competitions and awards, including the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Paris in 1996. After graduating from the conservatory in 1998, Vladimir began his professional career as a concert pianist. He quickly gained recognition for his virtuosic performances and his ability to interpret complex and challenging pieces of music. One of Vladimir's most notable performances was his debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2001. He performed a program of works by Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff to critical acclaim. The New York Times praised his "dazzling technique and musical sensitivity," and he was hailed as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. Over the years, Vladimir has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, including Valery Gergiev, Daniel Barenboim, and Simon Rattle. In addition to his performances, Vladimir is also a dedicated teacher and has taught masterclasses at several music schools and conservatories around the world.
