The Arcadia String Quartet is a Romanian classical music ensemble that has gained international recognition for its exceptional performances and recordings. One of the highlights of the Arcadia String Quartet's career was their victory at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition in 2012. The competition, which is held every three years in London, is one of the most prestigious chamber music competitions in the world. The Arcadia String Quartet was the first Romanian ensemble to win the competition, and their victory was a testament to their exceptional musicianship and their ability to connect with audiences. Since their victory at the Wigmore Hall competition, the Arcadia String Quartet has gone on to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals in the world. They have been invited to perform at the Berlin Philharmonic, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Carnegie Hall in New York, among others. They have also been featured at major music festivals, such as the Salzburg Festival, the Edinburgh International Festival, and the Lucerne Festival. Their recording of the complete string quartets of Bartók was awarded the Grand Prix du Disque by the Hungarian Ministry of Culture, and their recording of the complete string quartets of Enescu was awarded the Diapason d'Or by the French music magazine Diapason.
