Amira Willighagen is a Dutch classical music artist who was born on March 27, 2004, in Nijmegen, Netherlands. She is a soprano singer who gained international recognition at a young age for her exceptional vocal abilities. Amira's parents are Frieda Willighagen and Gerrit Willighagen, and she has a younger brother named Fincent. Amira's interest in music began at a young age when she started playing the violin at the age of six. However, it was her love for singing that led her to pursue a career in classical music. Amira's talent was discovered when she was just nine years old, after she won the fifth season of Holland's Got Talent in 2013. Her performance of "O Mio Babbino Caro" from the opera Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini left the judges and the audience in awe. After her win on Holland's Got Talent, Amira's career took off. She was invited to perform on various television shows and concerts in the Netherlands and other countries. In 2014, she performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, as part of the Classic FM Live concert. She also performed at the Maastricht concert of André Rieu, a Dutch violinist and conductor, in the same year. In 2015, Amira released her debut album, Amira, which featured classical pieces such as "Ave Maria" by Franz Schubert and "Nessun Dorma" from the opera Turandot by Giacomo Puccini. The album was a commercial success, and it reached the top of the Dutch album charts. Amira also received a gold certification for the album, which sold over 25,000 copies in the Netherlands. Amira's success continued in 2016 when she performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York City, USA, as part of the America's Got Talent: The Champions show. She also performed at the World Expo in Milan, Italy, and at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in the same year. In 2017, Amira released her second album, Merry Christmas, which featured Christmas songs such as "Silent Night" and "O Holy Night." The album was also a commercial success, and it reached the top of the Dutch album charts. Amira also received a gold certification for the album, which sold over 20,000 copies in the Netherlands. In 2018, Amira performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, as part of the Classic FM Live concert for the second time. She also performed at the World Forum Theater in The Hague, Netherlands, as part of the 200th anniversary of the Dutch Constitution. In 2019, Amira released her third album, With All My Heart, which featured classical pieces such as "Ave Maria" by Johann Sebastian Bach and "Panis Angelicus" by César Franck. The album was also a commercial success, and it reached the top of the Dutch album charts. Amira also received a gold certification for the album, which sold over 20,000 copies in the Netherlands. Amira's talent and hard work have earned her numerous awards and recognitions. In 2014, she received the Edison Classical Music Award, which is one of the most prestigious music awards in the Netherlands. She also received the Golden Televizier-Ring, which is a Dutch television award, for her performance on Holland's Got Talent in the same year. In 2015, Amira received the International Achievement Recognition Award from the City of Nijmegen, Netherlands, for her contribution to the city's cultural scene. She also received the Golden Record Award for her debut album, Amira, in the same year.
