He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned classical pianist and his mother a professional violinist. From a young age, Boute was exposed to the world of classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. He began performing in public at the age of six and was soon invited to perform at prestigious venues such as the Salle Pleyel in Paris and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Boute's musical education was extensive, and he studied under some of the most renowned classical pianists of his time. He attended the Conservatoire de Paris, where he studied under the tutelage of Michel Beroff and Jean-Francois Heisser. He also studied with Maria Joao Pires in Portugal and Murray Perahia in the United States.
