Maria Casula was a renowned classical music artist who was born on May 12, 1948, in Cagliari, Italy. She was the daughter of a music teacher and grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her father recognized her talent at a young age and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Casula began her musical training at the Conservatory of Cagliari, where she studied piano and voice. She showed exceptional talent and was soon recognized as a rising star in the classical music world. She continued her studies at the Conservatory of Milan, where she studied under the guidance of some of the most renowned music teachers in Italy. In 1970, Casula made her debut as a professional singer at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. She performed the role of Barbarina in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" and received critical acclaim for her performance. This was the beginning of a long and illustrious career that would see her perform on some of the world's most prestigious stages. Over the years, Casula performed in many operas, concerts, and recitals, both in Italy and abroad. She was known for her powerful voice, her impeccable technique, and her ability to convey emotion through her singing. She was particularly renowned for her interpretations of Mozart's operas, which she performed with great sensitivity and depth. One of the highlights of Casula's career was her performance in the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at the Salzburg Festival in 1977.
