Alice Julien-Laferrière is a French classical cellist who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born in 1994 in Paris, France, Alice grew up in a family of musicians. Her father, Philippe Laferrière, is a renowned cellist and her mother, Marie-Laure Julien, is a pianist. Alice was introduced to music at a very young age and started playing the cello when she was just four years old. Alice's talent for the cello was evident from a young age. She quickly became a prodigy and started performing in public when she was just six years old. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Alice started taking lessons from her father and other renowned cellists in France. Alice's talent continued to grow and she started winning awards and competitions. In 2006, she won first prize at the International Competition for Young Cellists in Liezen, Austria. Alice's talent and hard work paid off when she was accepted into the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) at the age of 16. She studied under the guidance of renowned cellists such as Philippe Muller and Anne Gastinel. Alice graduated from the CNSMDP with the highest honors in 2016. After graduating from the CNSMDP, Alice started performing in major concert halls around the world. She has performed with several renowned orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and the Orchestre de Paris. Alice has also performed in major music festivals, such as the Festival de La Roque d'Anthéron, the Festival de Radio France et Montpellier, and the Festival de Musique de Menton. Alice's performances have been praised by critics and audiences alike. Her playing is known for its technical precision, emotional depth, and musicality.
