Margarita Gritskova is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of opera. Born on May 22, 1987, in St. Petersburg, Russia, Gritskova grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a cellist, and her mother was a pianist, which meant that music was always a part of her life. Gritskova began her musical education at the age of six, studying piano and singing. She attended the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College in St. Petersburg, where she studied voice under the tutelage of Professor Tamara Novichenko. After completing her studies at the music college, Gritskova went on to study at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, where she continued to hone her skills as a singer. In 2008, Gritskova won the Grand Prix at the International Rimsky-Korsakov Young Opera Singers Competition, which marked the beginning of her career as an opera singer. She made her debut at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg in 2009, where she performed the role of Olga in Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin." Her performance was well-received, and she quickly became a rising star in the world of opera. In 2010, she made her debut at the Salzburg Festival, where she performed the role of Rosina in Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia."
