Gianluca Capuano is a renowned Italian conductor, harpsichordist, and musicologist. He was born on December 9, 1978, in Naples, Italy. Capuano grew up in a family of musicians, and his father was a well-known conductor and composer. From a young age, Capuano showed a keen interest in music and began studying the harpsichord at the age of six. Capuano's musical education began at the Conservatory of Naples, where he studied harpsichord and organ. He later continued his studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland, where he specialized in early music performance practice. During his time in Switzerland, Capuano had the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned early music specialists, including Jordi Savall and René Jacobs. After completing his studies, Capuano began his career as a conductor and harpsichordist.
