Mathilde Etienne was born on May 12, 1985, in Paris, France. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Mathilde showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Mathilde's parents recognized her potential and enrolled her in the Conservatoire de Paris at the age of six. She quickly excelled in her studies and was soon performing in concerts and competitions.
