The Süddeutsche Madrigalchor is a renowned classical music choir based in Stuttgart, Germany. The choir was founded in 1958 by conductor Wolfgang Gönnenwein, who served as its artistic director until 2006. Since then, the choir has been led by conductor Rainer Johannes Homburg. The Süddeutsche Madrigalchor has a rich history of performing a wide range of choral music, from Renaissance and Baroque works to contemporary compositions. The choir has collaborated with many notable conductors and orchestras, including Helmuth Rilling, Sir Neville Marriner, and the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra.
