Rainer Riehn is a German composer, musicologist, and pianist who has made significant contributions to the world of classical music. Born on August 22, 1941, in Hamburg, Germany, Riehn grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a conductor, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Riehn showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Riehn's musical education began at the Hamburg Conservatory, where he studied piano and composition. He later continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, where he received a degree in musicology.
