Beata Moon is a contemporary classical music composer who was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1978. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a composer. From a young age, Moon showed a natural talent for music and began studying piano at the age of four. Moon's family moved to the United States when she was nine years old, and she continued her musical education there. She attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied piano and composition. Moon also earned a Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music.
