Peter Zajicek was born on May 12, 1985, in Prague, Czech Republic. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Peter was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Peter's talent for music was evident from a young age, and he began performing in public at the age of six. He quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent and was invited to perform at various concerts and events in Prague. At the age of ten, Peter was accepted into the Prague Conservatory, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Jan Novotny. During his time at the conservatory, Peter honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. After completing his studies at the conservatory, Peter went on to study at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he received a degree in piano performance. During his time at the academy, Peter continued to perform at various concerts and events, gaining a reputation as one of the most talented young pianists in the country. In 2007, Peter was awarded the prestigious Prague Spring International Music Competition, which is one of the most prestigious music competitions in the world. This award catapulted Peter to international fame, and he began receiving invitations to perform at concerts and events all over the world. Over the years, Peter has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. In addition to his performances, Peter has also recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. His recordings have received widespread praise from critics and audiences alike, and he has been hailed as one of the most talented pianists of his generation. Throughout his career, Peter has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to classical music. In 2012, he was awarded the Order of Merit by the President of the Czech Republic, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the field of music. He has also been awarded the Medal of Honor by the City of Prague, and the Golden Medal of the International Chopin Piano Competition.
