Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha - Suhl is a classical music ensemble based in the German state of Thuringia. The orchestra was founded in 1952 as the Suhl Symphony Orchestra and was later renamed the Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha - Suhl in 1990. The ensemble is made up of approximately 70 musicians and is led by conductor GMD Markus Huber. The orchestra's repertoire includes a wide range of classical music, from Baroque to contemporary works. Over the years, Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha - Suhl has performed at numerous prestigious venues and festivals, both in Germany and abroad. Some of the orchestra's most notable performances include appearances at the Beethovenfest Bonn, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, and the Prague Spring International Music Festival. Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha - Suhl has also collaborated with many renowned soloists, including pianist Lang Lang, violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
