His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Marcello's musical journey began when he joined the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence at the age of ten. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer, Franco Mannino. Marcello's talent and dedication to music were evident from the beginning, and he quickly became one of the most promising students at the conservatory. In 1983, Marcello graduated from the conservatory with top honors and began his professional career as a pianist. He made his debut performance at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he played Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major. The performance was a huge success, and Marcello received critical acclaim for his exceptional talent and skill. Over the years, Marcello continued to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and orchestras, including Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, and the Vienna Philharmonic.
