Mateusz Stachura is a Polish classical pianist who has gained international recognition for his virtuosic performances and musical interpretations. Born on May 22, 1991, in Warsaw, Poland, Stachura showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began studying with renowned piano teachers in Poland. Stachura's musical education continued at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied under the guidance of Professor Alicja Paleta-Bugaj. During his time at the university, Stachura won numerous awards and competitions, including the 1st Prize at the 2012 International Piano Competition in San Marino and the 2nd Prize at the 2013 International Piano Competition in Rome. In 2014, Stachura was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, Germany, where he studied with Professor Michael Schäfer. During his time in Munich, Stachura continued to win awards and accolades, including the 1st Prize at the 2015 International Piano Competition in Cagliari, Italy, and the 2nd Prize at the 2016 International Piano Competition in Valencia, Spain. Stachura's career as a concert pianist began to take off in 2016, when he won the 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition in San Sebastian, Spain. This victory led to numerous concert engagements throughout Europe, including performances at the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. In 2017, Stachura released his debut album, "Chopin: The Complete Nocturnes," which received critical acclaim and was praised for its sensitive and nuanced interpretations of Chopin's music.
