Born in New York City in 1953, Grace showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of five. She studied with some of the most respected teachers in the country, including Rosina Lhevinne and Leon Fleisher. She also attended the Juilliard School, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree and a Master of Music degree. She has won numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Naumburg International Piano Competition.
