Peter Pieters was born on May 15, 1985, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Peter showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Peter's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed his skills. By the age of ten, Peter had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious young talent. In 1997, Peter was accepted into the prestigious Amsterdam Conservatory, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Jan Wijn. In 2008, Peter was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians and provides them with financial support to further their careers. This was a significant honor for Peter and helped to further establish him as a rising star in the classical music world. In addition to his performing career, Peter is also a dedicated teacher.
