Mariusz Godlewski is a renowned Polish bass-baritone opera singer who has made a name for himself in the classical music industry. He was born on December 22, 1969, in the city of Poznań, Poland. From a young age, Godlewski showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Godlewski began his musical education at the Poznań Music School, where he studied piano and singing. He later went on to study at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he received a degree in vocal performance. During his time at the university, Godlewski was mentored by renowned Polish bass-baritone singer Wiesław Ochman, who helped him hone his skills and develop his unique voice. After completing his studies, Godlewski began his professional career as an opera singer. He made his debut in 1995 at the Grand Theatre in Warsaw, where he performed the role of Colline in Giacomo Puccini's opera La bohème. Over the years, Godlewski has performed in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
