His father was a pianist and his mother was a singer, so it was only natural that he would develop a love for music at a young age. Guèze began his musical training at the age of six, studying piano and singing. He quickly showed a talent for both, but it was his singing that really stood out. He began performing in local choirs and soon caught the attention of his teachers, who encouraged him to pursue a career in music. In 1994, Guèze enrolled at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied under the renowned tenor Michel Sénéchal. He quickly made a name for himself at the conservatory, winning several awards and competitions, including the prestigious Prix de la Ville de Paris. After graduating from the conservatory in 1998, Guèze began his professional career as a soloist, performing in operas and concerts throughout France and Europe. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most promising young tenors of his generation, with a voice that was praised for its clarity, power, and emotional depth. One of Guèze's early breakthrough performances came in 2001, when he was cast as the lead in a production of Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at the Opéra de Marseille. The production was a critical and commercial success, and Guèze's performance was singled out for its intensity and passion. Over the next few years, Guèze continued to build his reputation as a leading tenor, performing in a wide range of operas and concerts. He made his debut at the Opéra National de Paris in 2004, singing the role of Tamino in Mozart's "The Magic Flute." The performance was a triumph, and Guèze was hailed as one of the most exciting new voices in French opera. In 2006, Guèze made his debut at the Salzburg Festival, one of the most prestigious classical music festivals in the world. He sang the role of Ferrando in Mozart's "Così fan tutte," and his performance was widely praised for its elegance and sensitivity. Over the next few years, Guèze continued to perform at major opera houses and festivals around the world, including the Royal Opera House in London, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. He also began to record extensively, releasing several albums of opera arias and art songs. One of Guèze's most memorable performances came in 2010, when he sang the role of Werther in Massenet's "Werther" at the Opéra de Paris. In addition to his work as a performer, Guèze has also been active as a teacher and mentor. He has taught master classes at several conservatories and universities, and has worked with young singers to help them develop their skills and careers. Throughout his career, Guèze has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to classical music. In 2007, he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government, in recognition of his achievements as a musician. He has also been awarded the Prix de la Révélation Lyrique by the French music magazine Diapason, and the Prix de la Critique by the French music critics' association.
