Guelfo Nalli was born on May 12, 1985, in Florence, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a singer. From a young age, Nalli showed a natural talent for music and began studying the piano at the age of six. As a child, Nalli was exposed to a wide range of classical music, and he quickly developed a love for the works of Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin. He spent countless hours practicing the piano, and by the age of 12, he had already won several local competitions. Nalli continued to hone his skills as a pianist throughout his teenage years, and in 2003, he was accepted into the prestigious Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini in Florence. There, he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer, Andrea Lucchesini. During his time at the conservatory, Nalli began to gain recognition for his exceptional talent as a pianist. In 2006, he won first prize at the Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Musicale in Rome, and in 2007, he was awarded the Premio Nazionale delle Arti in Florence. After graduating from the conservatory in 2008, Nalli began to establish himself as a professional pianist. He performed extensively throughout Italy, and in 2010, he made his international debut at the Chopin Festival in Warsaw, Poland. Over the years, Nalli has become known for his passionate and expressive performances, as well as his technical mastery of the piano. He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. One of Nalli's most memorable performances took place in 2014, when he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the Vienna Philharmonic at the Salzburg Festival. The performance was hailed as a triumph, with critics praising Nalli's "brilliant technique" and "deeply emotional interpretation." In addition to his work as a performer, Nalli is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Throughout his career, Nalli has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to classical music. In 2016, he was awarded the prestigious Premio Abbiati, which is considered one of the highest honors in the Italian music industry. Despite his many accomplishments, Nalli remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform and teach, always striving to push the boundaries of what is possible on the piano.More....
