His father, James Patrick Page, was a personnel manager for a company that manufactured agricultural machinery, while his mother, Patricia Elizabeth Gaffikin, was a doctor's secretary. Page's interest in music began at an early age, and he started playing the guitar when he was just 12 years old. Page's musical journey began when he joined a skiffle group called the Crusaders. He later joined a band called Neil Christian and the Crusaders, where he played lead guitar. In 1962, Page joined the Yardbirds, a popular British rock band. He played lead guitar for the band and contributed to some of their most famous songs, including "For Your Love" and "Heart Full of Soul." In 1968, Page formed a new band called Led Zeppelin, which would go on to become one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time.
