She studied with some of the most respected piano teachers in Japan, including Hiroko Nakamura and Akiko Ebi. She also attended the Toho Gakuen School of Music, one of the most prestigious music schools in Japan, where she received a comprehensive education in music theory, history, and performance. Despite her young age, Fukuda quickly established herself as a rising star in the classical music world. In 2001, she won first prize in the Japan Classical Music Competition, a prestigious national competition that attracts the best young musicians from across the country.
