She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Janet showed a keen interest in music and began taking piano lessons at the age of five. She quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument and began performing in public at the age of eight. As Janet grew older, she began to explore other instruments and soon discovered a love for the violin. She began taking lessons and quickly progressed, winning several local competitions and earning a reputation as a talented young musician. At the age of 16, she was accepted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied under some of the most renowned violinists in the world. During her time at the Royal Academy of Music, Janet continued to excel, winning several awards and competitions. She also began to perform in public more frequently, playing with various orchestras and ensembles. One of her most notable performances during this time was a solo recital at the Wigmore Hall in London, which received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Janet began to establish herself as a professional musician. She joined the London Symphony Orchestra as a first violinist and quickly became known for her technical skill and musicality. She also began to perform as a soloist, playing with orchestras around the world and earning critical acclaim for her performances. One of Janet's most memorable performances as a soloist was at the Proms in 2010. She played the Brahms Violin Concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, receiving a standing ovation from the audience and earning praise from critics for her "passionate and virtuosic" performance. In addition to her work as a performer, Janet is also a dedicated teacher.
