Neil Page was born on May 12, 1985, in London, England. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Neil showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Neil's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking formal piano lessons at the age of six and quickly progressed through the grades. By the time he was a teenager, Neil was already performing in public concerts and competitions. In 2003, Neil was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Maria João Pires. During his time at the academy, Neil honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. After graduating from the academy in 2007, Neil began performing professionally. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented and versatile pianist, capable of playing a wide range of styles and genres. One of Neil's most notable performances was at the 2010 International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. He was one of only 80 pianists selected to compete in the prestigious event, which is considered one of the most important piano competitions in the world. Neil's performance of Chopin's Ballade No. 1 in G minor earned him a place in the semi-finals, where he performed Chopin's Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor. Although he did not win the competition, Neil's performance was widely praised by critics and audiences alike. In 2012, Neil was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians who show exceptional talent and promise. The grant provided Neil with financial support and helped to further his career as a professional pianist. Over the years, Neil has collaborated with many other musicians and artists, including conductors, singers, and dancers. He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
