Antoaneta Besparova is a Bulgarian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born on May 5, 1985, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Besparova showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents, both music teachers, recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Besparova's early musical education was at the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where she studied with renowned Bulgarian pianist and pedagogue, Prof. Stella Dimitrova-Maistorova. She continued her studies at the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance under the guidance of Prof. Milena Mollova. In 2007, Besparova was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied with Prof. Christopher Elton and Prof. Joanna MacGregor. She completed her Master's degree in Piano Performance with distinction in 2009 and was awarded the prestigious DipRAM (Diploma of the Royal Academy of Music) for outstanding performance. Besparova's talent and dedication to music have earned her numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2003, she won first prize at the National Piano Competition "Svetoslav Obretenov" in Provadia, Bulgaria. In 2006, she was awarded first prize at the International Piano Competition "Citta di Marsala" in Italy. In 2008, she won the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship, which enabled her to participate in the International Holland Music Sessions in the Netherlands. Besparova has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in Bulgaria, the UK, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the USA. She has appeared in prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall and the Royal Festival Hall in London, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Tonhalle in Zurich, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. One of the highlights of Besparova's career was her performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra in 2010. The concert was conducted by Maestro Nayden Todorov and received critical acclaim for Besparova's "sensitive and nuanced interpretation" of the concerto. Besparova is also a passionate chamber musician and has collaborated with many renowned musicians, including violinist Maxim Vengerov, cellist Alexander Chaushian, and clarinetist Michael Collins.
