She studied under some of the most renowned violinists of the time, including Jacques Thibaud and George Enescu. She also studied chamber music with the legendary pianist Alfred Cortot. Gisèle continued to perform throughout the 1960s and 1970s, but she also began to focus on teaching. She was a professor at the Paris Conservatory for many years, and she also taught at the Juilliard School in New York City. In addition to her teaching and performing, Gisèle was also a prolific recording artist.
