Role:EnsemblePalisades Virtuosi is a classical music ensemble that was formed in 2003. The group consists of three members: flutist Margaret Swinchoski, clarinetist Donald Mokrynski, and pianist Ron Levy. The group is based in New Jersey and has gained a reputation for their innovative programming and virtuosic performances. Margaret Swinchoski, the flutist of Palisades Virtuosi, began her musical career at a young age. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan and her Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles, including the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the New York City Opera. In addition to her work with Palisades Virtuosi, she is also a member of the New York Chamber Ensemble and the New Jersey Chamber Music Society. Donald Mokrynski, the clarinetist of Palisades Virtuosi, also began his musical career at a young age. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music and his Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School. He has performed with many orchestras and ensembles, including the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. In addition to his work with Palisades Virtuosi, he is also a member of the New York Chamber Ensemble and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Ron Levy, the pianist of Palisades Virtuosi, is a graduate of the Juilliard School. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States and Europe. In addition to his work with Palisades Virtuosi, he is also a member of the New York Chamber Ensemble and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Palisades Virtuosi has performed at many prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. They have also performed at numerous festivals, including the Cape May Music Festival and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center's Summerfest. The group has gained a reputation for their innovative programming, which often includes lesser-known works by composers such as Darius Milhaud and Paul Hindemith. In addition to their performances, Palisades Virtuosi has also received numerous awards and accolades. They were awarded the Chamber Music America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming in 2008 and 2011. They were also named the 2013 Ensemble of the Year by the Classical Recording Foundation. Palisades Virtuosi has released several recordings, including their debut album, "The Flavors of Palisades Virtuosi," which features works by American composers. Their second album, "Escape," features works by European composers. Their third album, "Postcards," features works by composers from around the world.
