Arayik Bakhtikyan is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on December 12, 1982, in Yerevan, Armenia. From a young age, Bakhtikyan showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Bakhtikyan's musical journey began at the Tchaikovsky Music School in Yerevan, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Anahit Tsitsikian. He later continued his studies at the Yerevan State Conservatory, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance. During his time at the conservatory, Bakhtikyan participated in numerous competitions and won several awards. In 2002, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Yerevan, and in 2004, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Tbilisi, Georgia. These early successes helped to establish Bakhtikyan as a rising star in the world of classical music. After completing his studies, Bakhtikyan began performing extensively both in Armenia and abroad. He has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Bakhtikyan has also collaborated with many renowned conductors and orchestras, including the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. One of Bakhtikyan's most memorable performances was his solo recital at Carnegie Hall in 2010. The concert was a huge success, and Bakhtikyan received a standing ovation from the audience. The New York Times praised his performance, stating that "Bakhtikyan's playing was marked by a rare combination of technical brilliance and emotional depth." In addition to his performances, Bakhtikyan is also a dedicated teacher. He has taught at the Yerevan State Conservatory and the Tchaikovsky Music School, and has given masterclasses in many countries around the world. Bakhtikyan is passionate about passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians. Bakhtikyan's talent and hard work have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2008, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Armenia, and in 2012, he received the State Prize of Armenia for his contribution to the development of classical music. Bakhtikyan has also been awarded the Movses Khorenatsi Medal, one of the highest honors in Armenia, for his outstanding achievements in the field of culture. Despite his many accomplishments, Bakhtikyan remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform and teach, and is always striving to improve his skills and knowledge.
