Key Ensemble is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2010 by a group of talented musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in New York City and is known for its innovative programming, virtuosic performances, and commitment to promoting classical music to a wider audience. The founding members of Key Ensemble were pianist and artistic director, Yoonie Han, violinist, Francesca dePasquale, and cellist, Michelle Djokic. All three musicians had extensive experience performing as soloists and chamber musicians, and they shared a desire to create a chamber music ensemble that would showcase their individual talents while also exploring the rich repertoire of classical music. Since its founding, Key Ensemble has grown to include a rotating roster of musicians, with Han, dePasquale, and Djokic serving as the core members. The ensemble has also collaborated with a wide range of guest artists, including renowned pianist, Emanuel Ax, and Grammy-winning cellist, Zuill Bailey. One of the highlights of Key Ensemble's early years was its debut performance at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2011.
