Jessica Pearlman is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of music. Born on May 15, 1985, in New York City, Jessica showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Her parents, both music enthusiasts, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion. Jessica's early years were spent honing her skills on the violin. She attended the Juilliard School's Pre-College Division, where she studied with renowned violinist Dorothy DeLay. Under DeLay's tutelage, Jessica developed a deep understanding of the instrument and its nuances. She also learned the importance of discipline and hard work, which would serve her well in her future career. In 2003, Jessica was accepted into the Juilliard School's undergraduate program, where she continued her studies with DeLay. During her time at Juilliard, Jessica was a standout performer, winning numerous awards and accolades. She was a recipient of the prestigious Dorothy DeLay Scholarship, which is awarded to outstanding violin students at Juilliard. She was also a winner of the school's concerto competition, which gave her the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Juilliard Orchestra. After graduating from Juilliard in 2007, Jessica continued her studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. There, she studied with renowned violinist Miriam Fried and earned a Master of Music degree. During her time at the conservatory, Jessica continued to excel as a performer, winning the school's concerto competition and performing as a soloist with the conservatory's orchestra. In 2009, Jessica was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional talent and promise. The grant provided her with financial support and helped to launch her career as a soloist. Since then, Jessica has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras around the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Berlin Philharmonic. In addition to her solo performances, Jessica is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has performed with some of the world's leading chamber ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. She is also a founding member of the Pearlman Piano Trio, which has received critical acclaim for its performances of classical and contemporary music. Jessica's repertoire is vast and includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, and Brahms. She is also a champion of contemporary music and has premiered works by some of today's leading composers, including John Adams and Philip Glass. Throughout her career, Jessica has received numerous awards and accolades for her performances. In addition to the Avery Fisher Career Grant, she has been awarded the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, the S&R Washington Award, and the Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant. Jessica is also a dedicated teacher and has taught at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School and the New England Conservatory of Music.
