He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Wilhelm showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Wilhelm's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, displaying a natural ability for the instrument. By the age of ten, Wilhelm had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious young talent. In 1997, Wilhelm was accepted into the prestigious Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Professor Klaus Hellwig. Under Hellwig's guidance, Wilhelm honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the nuances of classical music. During his time at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, Wilhelm participated in numerous competitions and performances, winning several awards and accolades. In 2003, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Vienna, Austria, cementing his reputation as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. Following his success in Vienna, Wilhelm began to receive invitations to perform at major concert halls and festivals around the world. He made his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic in 2004, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle. The performance was a resounding success, with Wilhelm receiving a standing ovation from the audience. Over the next few years, Wilhelm continued to perform at major concert halls and festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, the Lucerne Festival, and the Edinburgh International Festival. He also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Vienna Philharmonic. In 2008, Wilhelm released his debut album, featuring works by Beethoven, Schumann, and Brahms. The album received critical acclaim and was praised for Wilhelm's technical prowess and musical sensitivity. In addition to his performing career, Wilhelm is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses at several leading music schools, including the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
