Jeeyoon Kim is a classical pianist who has captivated audiences around the world with her virtuosic performances and unique approach to music. Born in South Korea, Kim began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. Her parents recognized her potential and enrolled her in the Yewon School, a prestigious music academy in Seoul, where she received rigorous training in piano performance and music theory. Kim's talent continued to blossom as she grew older, and she went on to study at the Seoul National University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance. She then moved to the United States to pursue further studies, earning a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. Throughout her career, Kim has been recognized for her exceptional talent and dedication to music. She has won numerous awards and competitions, including the Grand Prize at the Korea Times Music Competition, the Gold Medal at the World Piano Competition, and the First Prize at the Eumyeon Piano Competition. She has also been a finalist in several other prestigious competitions, including the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition and the Cleveland International Piano Competition. Kim's performances have taken her to some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Seoul Arts Center. She has also performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Minnesota Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. One of the highlights of Kim's career was her performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., where she played a solo recital as part of the center's prestigious Fortas Chamber Music Concerts series.
